Organized by the National Library “Njegoš” and the Serbian Geographical Society, the second “Knjaževac Region Conference: Potentials, Status, and Development Perspectives” took place in Knjaževac from April 24 to 26, 2024. Members of the VLingS project, Mirjana Mirić and Svetlana Ćirković, were part of the Scientific Committee of the conference. Additionally, Mirjana Mirić participated in the conference with a paper entitled “Students’ attitudes towards Romani language instruction in the municipality of Knjaževac: a pilot study”. As part of the accompanying program, Mirjana Mirić and Svetlana Ćirković also delivered a lecture entitled “The Romani language in Knjaževac: Results of the VLingS project on vulnerable minority languages”, which presented the research results of the VLingS project. The lecture was attended by members of the Knjaževac Roma community, high school students, as well as participants of the aforementioned conference.
