On May 5, 2022, Svetlana Ćirković gave a lecture to the students of Slavic Studies at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade entitled “Romani and Serbian – Language Contact Phenomena”. In addition to Balkanisms and borrowings, which are characteristic of languages in contact, Svetlana Ćirković also drew attention to the endangerment of Romani, the inaccuracy of data regarding the endangerment of the Romani language in international databases, and stressed the need for more detailed research on vulnerability assessment, and the application of complex sociolinguistic criteria.
