“The International Mother Language Day is celebrated worldwide on February 21st, with the aim of drawing attention to the importance of language as part of the identity of ethnic communities, as well as promoting efforts to preserve languages considered vulnerable or endangered.” This is how the organizers of the event dedicated to this important day in Ivanovo (Serbia) began the story about their valuable contribution to preserving and promoting linguistic diversity. During the event, twelve minority languages were presented through songs, stories and recitations, along with the Serbian language. Among other minority languages, Banat Bulgarian, Romani, and Rusyn, which are encompassed by the VLingS project, were also present. Anđela Redžić assisted in preparing materials about these languages at the event and had the honour and pleasure of listening to all these languages.
